As i noted I am leaning toward Edelbrock's eForce supercharger next summer. As with Roush, they offer a warranty on their unit as well as your Mustang drivetrain, if anything goes wrong because of the install. as well as an extended warranty if you pay for it.
Some of the major benefits I see with this kit are:
- Made and supported by Edelbrock (quality and long racing history)
- Built in intake runners allowing for low end torque
- Front driven and 85mm front inlet
- Inverted design which allows for less turns for the air to reach engine
- High capacity air to water intercooler
- Integrated bypass valve
- Overall design allows for supercharger and engine to work less for similar power gains
I think it is important to also evaluate the purpose of the upgrades when choosing parts. I dont go to drag race at the track, nor do anything stupid on public roads. So longevity, warranty, quality, and reliability are all important for me. As well as low end torque vs top end.
If i wanted to build a weekend road race Mustang I would prob just buy a Boss 302 Laguna Seca.
Below are some educational videos from Edelbrock.
