No numbers yet. I believe they were testing the 5.0 on the dyno recently. Hopefully we will see numbers early in 2011.

I'll be comparing this to Roush's 5XR which has a different setup but uses the new revised TVS blowers too, and outputs 525hp/465 ft lbs at 7psi w/90mm pulley.

As i noted I am leaning toward Edelbrock's eForce supercharger next summer.  As with Roush, they offer a warranty on their unit as well as your Mustang drivetrain, if anything goes wrong because of the install.  as well as an extended warranty if you pay for it.

Some of the major benefits I see with this kit are:

- Made and supported by Edelbrock (quality and long racing history)
- Built in intake runners allowing for low end torque
- Front driven and 85mm front inlet
- Inverted design which allows for less turns for the air to reach engine
- High capacity air to water intercooler
- Integrated bypass valve
- Overall design allows for supercharger and engine to work less for similar power gains

I think it is important to also evaluate the purpose of the upgrades when choosing parts.  I dont go to drag race at the track, nor do anything stupid on public roads.  So longevity, warranty, quality, and reliability are all important for me.  As well as low end torque vs top end.

If i wanted to build a weekend road race Mustang I would prob just buy a Boss 302 Laguna Seca.

Below are some educational videos from Edelbrock.

My 5.0 has under 1400 miles since delivery in July.    I have another car which is awd, which goes back after lease in March, so I am trying to put enough miles on that car and only using the Mustang occasionally on weekends.

But after March the 5.0 will become my daily driver.  Cannot wait.  One mod i am doing as soon as it is released is the tilting headrest from MRT, which should be out before the new year.

As for performance mods I am going to hold off.  But I have put a list of wishlist mods:

MRT Tilting Headrests
Barton short shifter
Edelbrock Supercharger Kit
Borla S type exhaust
Boss 302 Suspension (shocks, struts, springs)
Boss 302 Strut tower bar
Larger Rear anti roll bar
Pirelli P Zero Corsa

Just wanted to remind everyone that tonight - Monday, November 22nd at 10 p.m. eastern, SPEED will air a one-hour documentary about the making of the new 2012 Mustang Boss 302 along with the history associated with the famed Boss 302 moniker.
