Yesterday I had to see multiple clients in PA and was excited with the opportunity to see how my Mustang would perform as a mobile office and client taxi. The ride down was easy enough, reverse New York traffic, and i cruised at 65-75 the whole way down. I must say the GT in the badge rings true. Other than the bumps where i felt the live axle, the ride reminds me of a Mercedes coupe with long wheelbase. At one point i was so comfortable I started to get relaxed and drowsy so I pulled over at a rest stop for some iced coffee and stretch a bit.
The Ford Sync worked flawlessly. I knew where my clients were but i used the navigation anyway to test. I also held 3 conference calls during the day without any issues. No complaints on voice quality from the other side. Sirius sat radio, bluetooth streaming audio, and the sound of the 5.0 was great filler sounds for the times i was not on a call.
I used up a little more than a half tank for 196 miles. Upon my return i filled up and got a car wash and detailed when i got home.
Also the clients loved the car. It was just enough flash to get a conversation started but the car is not too over the top flashy to create any animosity or jealousy.
Job well done!
